Leonard Daly is President of Daly Realism, as an Internet Consultant working in 3D graphics and ebusiness based in Los Angeles, California USA.
He is secretary of the X3D working group, managing and contributing to the X3D specification development and ISO approval process. He has been working in 2D and 3D computer graphics since 1980 and with the X3D/Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) community since 1997. He was founder and Treasurer of the Los Angeles VRML User's Group (LAVUG). He was the organizer and lead presenter of X3D courses at SIGGRAPH Conferences (2002 and 2003) and the Web3D Symposium (2000, 2002, and 2003).
His research interest is in large interactive networked systems with real-time 3D graphical plus audio interfaces. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group on Graphics (SIGGRAPH) and has served on the non-profit Web3D Consortium Board of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College.
